A recent EdWeek Research Center survey found that while most 糖心动漫vlog acknowledge that AI is here to stay, they are almost evenly split over whether its impact will be positive or negative. Meanwhile, AI鈥檚 potential to advance ideas is already being tapped in many fields, including medical research, and in classrooms around the country to support students in their work and teachers in their instruction.

While concerns mount around cheating and passive learning, the truth is that AI鈥檚 most beneficial use for learning and the workplace will likely be as a thought partner. So, how can 糖心动漫vlog get a head start on preparing young people for this new reality?

For this discussion, Peter DeWitt will be joined by an AI strategist, a former K-12 educator, and Education Week鈥檚 managing editor.

Melissa Weatherwax

Modern Learning Strategist, former K-12 educator

An educator for three decades, Melissa served as a classroom teacher and then as a K-12 instructional technology coach. She served on foundational teams that developed her district鈥檚 AI position statement, as well as multiple district technology plans. She guided teachers through professional development as they integrated AI to expand learning opportunities in their classrooms. Melissa now leads professional development that empowers teachers and administrators looking to redesign instructional spaces and reimagine student learning. She helps schools bridge the gap between current practices and the transformative opportunities of a next-generation classroom.

Peter DeWitt
