Technology plays a vital role in education, but limited budgets often cause schools to postpone necessary upgrades, putting students and teachers at a disadvantage. That is why BlueAlly and Cisco have joined forces to help K–12 leaders maximize significant E-Rate discounts, making high-quality solutions more attainable.

Eligible schools and libraries receive a minimum of $30,175 in Federal E-Rate funding support.

The E-Rate program provides discounts of up to 85% for eligible networking equipment, including switches, access points, and firewalls. Cisco products, widely recognized as industry leaders in networking and security technologies, offer secure, scalable, and user-friendly infrastructure. With the support of E-Rate, schools and libraries of all sizes across the United States can access these enterprise-level tools essential for their success.

The E-Rate Timeline

Each E-Rate funding cycle begins with a strict schedule that includes the competitive bidding process (Form 470), vendor selection, and the application for discounts (Form 471). But the real work starts months earlier. Missing early milestones can mean missing out entirely. The earlier your school engages, the better positioned you are to secure maximum funding and impact.

The window closes in late February, so now is the time to assess your network, explore E-Rate–eligible products and services, create a plan that positions your school for future success, and start the process of filing your form 470.

BlueAlly and Cisco are committed to ensuring that every child can thrive in today’s digital landscape.
