There鈥檚 no national policy dictating how many days or hours students must attend classes each year. That means students in some states and districts can end the year with substantially more learning time under their belts than students elsewhere.

With the learning time that remains, research has shown that seemingly quick and minor disruptions鈥攁 call to the classroom phone, an intercom announcement, a drop-in by another staff member鈥攃an add up to hours of lost instructional time each year, exacerbating those already stark differences.

In this webinar, we will review common sources of distractions and hear about surprising findings on how quickly they can add up to large amounts of lost learning time.

We鈥檒l also hear from school leaders and a researcher about how schools can minimize common disruptions and add valuable learning time to the day.
