It was five years ago this week that a troubled young man shot his way into an elementary school in Newtown, Conn., killing 20 1st graders and six ÌÇÐĶ¯Âþvlog. The massacre shocked the nation. Nicole Hockley’s 5-year old son Dylan was one of those killed that day. She and other parents soon learned that the shooter had given off signs for years that he may have been prone to violence. Hockley believes if someone had reported and acted on those signs, the carnage may have been prevented. She and other Sandy Hook parents have made it their mission to try to head-off other shootings by educating students to recognize the signs of at-risk behavior, and to tell an adult.
